Experience Making Edo Kiriko Glassware, a Traditional Japanese Craft
Edo Kiriko is a type of cut glass featuring beautiful, uniquely Japanese patterns, developed during the late Tokugawa Shogunate period.
During the reign of Emperor Meiji, glassmaking techniques were promoted in an effort to create masterpieces for the world to enjoy.
This tradition has been passed down to the present day and has been designated a traditional Japanese craft.
At an Edo Kiriko workshop, you will experience creating glass with a cherry blossom petal design.
The "Sakura Edo Kiriko Glassware" you take home will bring back memories of your cherry blossom experience in Japan.
